They are kicking us upstairs! It turns out that we are moving (leftwards) to a brand new corner office, with ample lighting and closet space. We’ve been getting hundreds of hits a day, dozens of feed subscribers, and plenty of emails about this or that post. A lot of people ask us, however: what’s this business about Bono? The truth is that we haven’t been doing a very good job of trying to kill Bono. In fact, we have been spending more time writing about issues and debates on the left that we feel are important or interesting. Does this mean we have developed a soft spot for the crooning, bleeding-heart superstar? Certainly not, but as Marx said about capitalism, Kill Bono was a notion that was necessary, even progressive in its time, but has now outlived its usefulness.
